Mar Hall Review: Glasgow's most beautiful hotel
Mar Hall is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world and is also one of Glasgow’s most beautiful hotels. Here’s a look into one of the most beautiful hotels in Scotland.
Mar Hall is a 240 acre historic golf estate, featuring a luxury spa and afternoon tea. It’s located in Bishopton and also a short distance from Glasgow International Airport.
I came across Mar Hall earlier on while researching hotels in Glasgow, but sadly I didn’t quite grasp how beautiful this property was until arriving.
Unfortunately, I stayed here on my very last day in Scotland, after a long road-trip up the country and back. I can honestly say this is one of my biggest regrets on my trip to Scotland – not staying here longer.
We arrived late in the afternoon, and the sun was shining and the temperature was perfect. Mar Hall is famous as well for its beautiful golf course.
The lobby is stunning. It’s the grand Scottish decor I was hoping to see throughout my trip to Scotland. The atrium is perfect for afternoon tea or sipping late-night cocktails.
Bruce Springsteen performed that night in Glasgow and later came here to retreat. Evidently Mar Hall is a popular abode for celebrities. It wasn’t until we checked out did someone ask us if we saw Mr. Springsteen. Hmm, that’s interesting I thought because I saw a man who looked like him sipping cocktails behind us in the lobby.
Absolutely exhausted after a long road-trip down from the Isle of Skye. Mar Hall was perfect. It’s probably for the best I didn’t meet Bruce Springsteen that night.
They put us in a room that was much larger than our apartment. I hear the rooms here run large, but they upgraded us to a stunning suite. I felt at home.

Afternoon tea at Mar Hall is offered daily. I’m really sad I didn’t get to enjoy it, but what a setting. Check availability here
